Position Summary
Responsible for providing administrative support to the Real Estate team including responding to inquiries, creating and maintaining files, both electronic and paper, preparing documentation and correspondence, maintaining data and spreadsheets, creating presentations, taking minutes at meetings, maintaining office records, filing, organizing and calendar management. This position is highly focused on assisting with the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of properties, as well as other county property development projects.
Position Requirements
Minimum one (1) year post-secondary diploma in office administration or legal administration or equivalent to obtain a general knowledge in clerical/office functions.
Advanced word processing, excel spreadsheet and database application skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to recognize sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality where required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle several deadlines at once.
Requires close attention to detail and accuracy.
General knowledge of municipal government structure and real estate law would be beneficial.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, accountability and flexibility.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
Must possess a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for use on corporate business.
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar position with recent experience in real estate acquisition and sale procedures and leasing.
Experience with municipal road widening acquisitions, commercial leases would be highly beneficial.
Experience drafting correspondence from rough notes and/or verbal instructions.
$20.39 - $24.64 per hour (as per Collective Agreement)

** This is a temporary, full time maternity leave replacement. Anticipated contract length - twelve months with possibility of extension **
