Manager of Conservation Areas

The Grand River Conservation Authority is looking for a Manager of Conservation Areas who will be responsible for the overall management of the Conservation Area program and will work closely with operational and program staff to deliver high-quality, outdoor recreational experiences. In this role, you will provide strategic and people-focused leadership by building teams, optimizing staff performance and driving operational excellence.
Qualified candidates will have a university degree in recreation, tourism, planning, public administration, or business administration, in addition to 6 years of related management experience. You have experience working within a unionized business environment and are known for your well-honed people leadership skills. You are a visionary leader with the ability to develop and drive strategy and have demonstrated experience implementing change. You are known as an excellent communicator who is respected for your strong problem-solving ability, keen decision making and adaptability. You have knowledge and experience with business management methodology and best practices and strong understanding of organizational dynamics. Customer service is your specialty and you are committed to creating and contributing to a positive corporate culture.
